Nyeri, Kenya: Ceaser Thiari, Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando's youngest brother, hit national headlines when he allegedly killed his 70-year-old mother on July 27 after a brief argument at their home in Ngamwa Village in Mukurweini, Nyeri County.
Thiari has spent a month at the Mathari mental facility since his arrest for the murder of Rose Wachera Mwangi. But he is now formally back in court. Justice Anthony Ombwayo, who was briefly handling the matter, adjourned the case as the suspect was unrepresented by a lawyer, as is mandatory for murder cases.
Since his arrest, the last born in a family of six siblings, has exhibited various peculiarities within the docks and corridors of the courts.
Once after police declared they had completed investigations, Thiari, while being escorted to a police vehicle from court demanded for a press briefing with television journalists.
