Jieun Lee
Pianist Jieun Lee is in demand as a soloist, collaborator, advocate for contemporary music, teacher, and a trained organist. Ms. Lee gave her Carnegie Hall debut in as a top prizewinner in the American Protégé International Piano Competition and recently performed Ravel Piano Concerto for the Left Hand with the University of Georgia Symphony Orchestra as a winner of the UGA Concerto Competition. In , she also received Honorable Mention as a finalist in the prestigious Wideman International Competition. She was named state winner of the MTNA Young Artist Piano Competition in Missouri and received top prizes in numerous competitions in the USA and her native South Korea. As a winner of the Missouri State University Concerto Competition, she performed Prokofiev’s Third Piano Concerto with the MSU Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, Ms. Lee performed a recital in Steinway Hall in Feb.
As a collaborator, Ms. Lee was featured on the soundtrack for Netflix’s acclaimed documentary, The Social Dilemma. South Korean singer-songwriter IU (Lee Ji-eun) has written over seventy songs, mostly for her own musical career, but also for other performers and for several soundtrack albums.[1] She debuted in September with the single "Lost Child" and subsequently released the extended play (EP) Lost and Found.[2] The EP was completely written by Choi Gap-won.[3]
The first song credited to IU was "Alone in the Room", a song from her third extended play, Real, released in [4] With the release of her second studio album, Last Fantasy (), she started to take more creative control over the music, writing six of the thirteen total tracks.[5][6] The following studio album, Modern Times (), and its rerelease, Modern Times – Epilogue (), were also mostly written by IU and South Korean lyricist Kim Eana, who previously wrote multiple tracks on Last Fantasy.[7] Her subsequent releases, Chat-Shire ()[8] and Palette (), were nearly written all by herself, with help from multiple feature artists, including Zion.T, G-Dragon and Oh Hyuk.[9][10] Her fifth extended play, Love Poem, was entirely written by her, with two tracks— "The Visitor" and "Blueming",
