    Takako Saito, popularly known as Taki, decided to put her 20th birthday bash on hold to observe quarantine protocols in Japan, where she and her family are currently based.

    The former Eat Bulaga co-host admits she originally made huge plans for her birthday this year because 20 is considered as the coming-of-age occasion in Japan, the counterpart of Pinoy’s debut tradition.

    However, just like other birthday celebrants during this quarantine period, she chose to prioritize everyone's safety and celebrated her birthday at home instead. 

    Yesterday, April 21, Taki posted throwback birthday photos of herself via Instagram to relive the happy birthday celebrations she’s had in the past. 

    She also shared how she’s still able to make her day extra memorable while being confined at home. 

    “Happy 20th birthday to me.” she began. “I will be celebrating my birthday by staying home...for my safety, for the others, and for our brave frontliners.”

    Even if her special day didn’t go as planned, the former Eat Bulaga co-host welcomed another year by doing a good deed instead.
